Cyber crime

According in the article, ‘Cyber parasites’ by Mina Sohail (September 3). While more an issue in other western countries, Pakistani society is also facing cyber harassment.

Being a psychologist, I also deal with cases in which many girls and boys report online harassment. There is no counselling available at school or at home, which would help these young boys and girls deal with such issues.

We need appropriate legislation on cyberbullying. Women are most vulnerable to these crimes and are in danger of being blackmailed. In a country where customs like Swara exist, such cyber harassment can lead to far bigger problems.
