Paolo Bediones seeks anti-cybercrime police’s help

MANILA, Philippines — Television host Paolo Bediones approached the Anti-Cybercrime Division of the Philippine National Police on Thursday to ask help over the spread of his alleged sex video.

Chief Inspector Jay Guillermo, head of the intelligence section of the division, said in a radio report that his team has started tracing the source of the video that has gone viral over the weekend.

According to Guillermo, Bediones believes the file may have been taken from the hard drive of his damaged laptop, which he had repaired.

Bediones showed the anti-cybercrime team an anonymous message he received, blackmailing him about a supposed illicit footage. The alleged video was shot five years ago, Guillermo said.

On his Instagram account, Bediones posted a photo of a supposed blackmail message on Thursday, pleading to the PNP and the public to find the person behind the scandal.
