Fighting cyber crime
One of Warsaw’s better known hotels has been filled by law enforcement officers from 35 countries for a seminar devoted to countering international crime, including cyber crime.
As Slawek Szefs reports, the meeting is a unique opportunity of acquiring highly specialist knowledge that Polish police did not have for years. O
ne of the invited guests is Assistant Director of International Operations Division at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, John Boles accompanied by FBI liaison officers from across Europe. “We always talk about crime without borders and cybercrime is truly that kind of crime,” he told Polish Radio.
“The real challenge is how we can share information on that quickly, because crime on the internet, the evidence, disappears rapidly,” Director Boles explained.
