Man wanted for credit card fraud found

HANOVER, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Silver Creek man was arrested Friday night in the Town of Hanover.

When deputies noticed a vehicle parked on the side of a maintenance building belonging to the Angell Rd. Trailer Park, they found the driver.

Sammy D. Avilas, 34 was found to be operating the vehicle. Following an investigation, deputies learned Avilas was wanted in Luzerne County, Pa. on a warrant for fraud-illegal use of credit cards.

He was arrested and arraigned in Hanover court before being committed to the Chautauqua County Jail with no bail.
